Sandra Jamison
I've been fortunate to be a part of the Mallett family since 2006. I taught third grade until 2014 and then I changed to second grade. I have been teaching since 2002, graduating from University of Maine at Orono. I am currently working on my master's degree at UMF and plan to graduate May of 2016! I was drawn to the world of education because I loved working with kids. I also wanted a career that was never boring, fast paced, interesting, creative and challenging. Teaching is all of that and so much more! It's rewards are many in return. Helping students feel successful as learners and in life and seeing the "light bulb" come on is an exciting part of being an educator.
In my spare time (what's that?? :) I love to be outside - hiking, cross country skiing, kayaking, gardening. And, I especially love spending time in the barn with my horse, Sam-I-Am, a Morgan horse that I got from a rescue organization. He's as sweet as sweet can be and often is a subject I use to model good writing!
